You are a proven Account Director with an innate ability to develop relationships with new clients and identify opportunities for new programs with existing clients. You are an effective communicator who is able to advocate for the strategic direction and client needs while understanding the approved budget limitations and timeline requirements for delivery.

McCann Complete Medical Canada is a growing organization with a need for someone like you! We are searching for a qualified Account Director responsible for securing new clients, growing existing clients (in Ontario and/or Quebec), and achieving financial targets.

Additional responsibilities include the following:
    • Financial management and regular reporting to the Senior Management
    • Develop and regularly report to senior management updated client plans
    • Develop strategic direction with your clients and ensure all programs/projects support the strategic direction
    • Oversee all programs and projects for your clients and be prepared to dig in to help the team complete programs and projects within timelines and budgets
    • Secure needed resourcing from internal teams as needed to ensure timely delivery for your clients
As a key person in the organization, an Account Director is an important communicator for the internal team and the client. You will oversee all client programs and projects (on the assigned accounts) while leading the Account Managers (AM) and Project Coordinators (PC) that are focused on the development and completion of the individual projects.

General areas of responsibilities include business planning, identifying profitable growth opportunities, customer focus, internal and external partnering, ongoing mentoring and training of Account Managers and Project Coordinators.

We are searching for a candidate that has the following skills and expertise.
    • Undergraduate degree, concentration in Life Sciences and/or Business a plus
    • Team player – Always connecting across teams between and within offices
    • Strong internal partnering skills
    • Exceptional customer focus and relationship management skills (clients and internal teams)
    • Self-driven to achieve excellence in programs and customer service
    • Excellent business development skills in clients (organic growth) and new prospects (business development)
    • Strong understanding of digital development process (websites/portals, applications) and experience in delivering digital solutions in healthcare
    • Comprehensive understanding and experience in CHE/CME educational program development (accredited and non-accredited)
    • Multiple years of experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry in Canada
    • Effective oral and written communication skills in English - French a benefit
    • Ability to handle pressure and sense of urgency
    • Complete comprehension of Innovative Medicines Canada code
