THE COMPANY:
Our client is a medium-sized firm that specializes in the R&D, Chemicals, manufacturing and packaging of a wide range of cleaning products for customers throughout North America.

THE OPPORTUNITY:
Currently in a significant expansion mode; our client is seeking the talents of a REGULATORY AFFAIRS OFFICER to assume responsibility for the various regulatory issues that affect their products. While a background in fine chemicals is ideal, experience is pharmaceuticals is also desirable.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The incumbent will be responsible for the following main activities:

  • Prioritize, plan and organize regulatory projects/assignments.
  • Prepare, submit and coordinate new product regulatory submissions and maintain existing ones.
  • Prepare submissions, notifications and reports to Health Canada.
  • Prepare responses to regulatory authorities regarding any non-compliance issues.
  • Ensure that all applicable regulations are known to and being followed by company employees.
  • Review packaging, marketing communications and product claims for regulatory compliance.
  • At least 8 years’ experience in Regulatory Affairs positions involving chemical manufacturing.
  • Chemical Formulation knowledge.
  • Extensive experience with Canadian regulations regarding the manufacture, packaging, disposal and transportation of chemical products.
