Can you?
• Use your creativity and project management skills to develop and support TV infomercials and local marketing promotions/initiatives that drive awareness and traffic to our stores?
• Manage our social media channels with engaging content to build brand loyalty?
• Write compelling press releases and liaise with the media to bring greater awareness of our brand initiatives?
• Create meaningful brand partnerships with other organizations to share the brand story with new audiences?
• Develop compelling in-store marketing collateral and signage?
• Strategize, manage and communicate local marketing campaigns and projects?
• Create brand loyalty through meaningful one-to-one communications and CRM initiatives?
• Develop compelling charitable programs and activities that give back to the communities we serve?
• Delegate work to direct reports and ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard?
• Maintain and manage vendor and agency relationships and work through any issues in order to maintain an open and productive relationship with all our partners and agencies?
• Report on campaign success, including any tests and make recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team and Senior Management on initiatives, activities and results?
• Liaise daily with various vendors, agencies, and internal associates in order to move projects and programs forward?
• Be an advocate of the company's culture for all associates by demonstrating the values that support our culture?

Do you have?
• A post-secondary education in marketing, merchandising, retail, digital marketing, or a related field? We're looking for a degree!
• 8 - 12 years of relevant work experience in the marketing field, preferably in retail

Are you able to?
• Use a PC? Yes, that means actually using programs like Excel, Word, PowerPoint?
• Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills?
• Bring forth highly developed interpersonal skills? You'll be working with many levels of our management team, internal and external customers and vendors so you'd better enjoy talking to and helping people!
• Exhibit problem solving abilities, including good judgement, creativity and research skills?
• Work well under tight timelines and hard media deadlines?
• Be a team leader and develop vendor/customer relationship management? This position manages the Events & Community Marketing Specialist and is responsible for delegating the work, reviewing the work, providing leadership, guidance and motivation to the team.
• Display exceptional innovation and initiative?
• Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset. Parlez-vous français? That would be a huge plus!

Department Details:
From your first day in the Marketing department, you will be very involved ensuring that all marketing objectives and projects outlined to drive traffic and brand loyalty to SCC and DV brands are met, including all aspects of in-store marketing, social media, promotions, PR, infomercials, loyalty programs and charity programs. This role is responsible for executing marketing initiatives, evaluating effectiveness of campaigns and reporting to Senior Management and making clear recommendations for future programs. This position also requires expert project management skills, strong interpersonal skills to manage multiple vendors/partners and strong people management leadership skills to lead the team - overseeing their work and helping them to achieve their personal career objectives.
