Receptionist and Legal Assistant/Law Clerk


Munn Law Firm is a growing, fast paced and team oriented organization.  We are exclusively dedicated to personal injury law.  


We are currently looking for a receptionist and a junior to intermediate legal assistant/law clerk with relevant knowledge and experience with tort or accident benefits files.


Your role as a legal assistant/law clerk will consist of the following:

Manage, monitor and keep track of deadlines.

Draft various documents including affidavits of documents, correspondence, motion records, trial records and pleadings for review.

Communicate with clients, hospitals, doctor’s offices, and other lawyers’ assistants for scheduling and other purposes.


Your role as a receptionist will consist of the following:

Answer and manage incoming telephone calls.

Scan and distribute incoming mail and faxes.

Maintaining and organizing files.

Assist with general file related request letters to various service providers.

Assist with compiling various file related briefs such as medical briefs or affidavit of documents.


The ideal candidates will have:

At least 2 years of experience as an assistant or law clerk or 1 years experience as a receptionist.  Previous plaintiff or insurance defence experience is considered to be an asset.

Attention to detail. Strong multi-tasking and problem solving skills

Ability to take initiative and work under pressure.

Ability to manage tasks and multiple client files in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word and Outlook, working knowledge of TimeMatters, PrimaFact (or alternatively an adaptable working knowledge of computer software applications).

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent writing and communication skills are a must.
